Timber framed homes have been constructed in the same manner for many years. It is not a new method of construction. In the UK there has been a heritage of building Timber framed buildings for hundreds of years.

Timber frames use a clear ventilated cavity in all construction with stone, block or brick external leaves. Construction times are significantly reduced, heating bills are substantially lower and the insulation is on the dry side of the cavity, all these advantages, and when compared like for like with "traditional" build giving the same U value performance it is far cheaper to build.
